Dialysis is primarily used to provide an artificial replacement for lost
kidney function. It is needed when our own healthy kidney can not take care of
our body's needs any longer.
In general, dialysis is needed when the disease develops into end stage Renal
Failure, usually by the time 85 to 90 percent of kidney function has lost. We
also should know that the creatinine is not a sensitive index that decides the
time when dialysis is needed. Different people have different conditions, there
are some people whose creatinine levels are high, even exceed 1000, they still
don't have dialysis.
Like healthy kidneys, dialysis can remove waste, salt and extra water to
prevent them building up in the body, keep a safe level of certain chemicals in
blood and help to control blood pressure. So dialysis can keep the balance in
the body. But can dialysis treat kidney disease?
The answer must be negative. Patients may feel better after having dialysis,
but dialysis can not treat kidney disease, for it does nothing to the damaged
kidney itself. There is no doubt that dialysis can make you live a life just
like normal people as long as you have enough money to afford dialysis, but how
many people want to give their rest of life to a cold machine?
Nobody wants, however we mentioned above, dialysis can not treat kidney
disease, is there a way can do that? Micro-Chinese Medicine can improve the
condition through promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, repair
and recover the damaged kidney function. So it helps patients reduce the
frequency of having dialysis and there may have the possibility to get rid of
dialysis if you have treatments in time.
