Why do you get PKD

A typical characteristic of the disease is family gathered tendency. Is there someone of your parents or brothers and sisters gets this disease? ( If have not examined yet, you can ask them whether they often feel acid and bulged in the back). Only one of the parent gets the disease, the chance their each child get it is 50%. ( If having been examined that you are not involved in it, be assured, you won’t develop to it in the future.) Then how we get it? PKD is a hereditary disease, and belongs to autosome dominant heredity. It develops progressively and mostly, its onset won’t break out until the patients grow to adult, moreover, some patients may be comorbid with liver multiple cyst and stone. PKD’ s dominant feature is the abnormal hyperplasia of the glomerular epithelial cells. After the renal tubule epithelial cells transform to cyst wall epithelial cells, they will get the function of secretion, and the secreted fluid increases gradually, for which, however, there isn’t normal path to be discharged out of the body, with the growth of the age, amount of fluid accumulates in the cyst, thereby, the volume of the cyst increases, the press inside rises, and the cyst surface tension multiplies, and at this time, some sensitive patients may feel discomforts, acid and bulged in their back, when some parts of the cyst are infected, they will feel pain. With the gradual growth of the cyst, the normal structure will be replaced, and the glomerulus’s function of barrier and the renal tubules’ function of concentrate, re-absorbtion and regulation decrease gradually, then there will be hypertension and abnormalities in URT and the renal function examination.
