What can influence the prognosis of Chronic Nephritis
Although there is no effective treatment for Chronic Nephritis, the research on pathogenesis and the therapeutic measure has got great improvement. Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, the treatment measures are more than usual. So is the Prevention.
The first thing for diagnosing the prognosis of Chronic Nephritis is to know some basic information of this disease, such as the characters, type and clinical manifestations, activities, the kidney pathological types and the damaged degree of kidney function. Then, to make a comprehensive analysis on these information so that we can make a correct conclusion.
The prognosis of Chronic Nephritis is related with the following aspects.
1. Manifestations. Patients who have pure proteinuria and microscopic hematuria and no other accompanying symptoms have good prognosis. However, the prognosis for people have persistent high blood pressure is worse than those who have no hypertension. As for people with high blood pressure while the level can turn to normal or a little higher after taking common antihypertensive medicines, the prognosis can be good, otherwise it is bad.
2. The former or root diseases which cause renal parenchyma lesion are related with prognosis. Patients with amygdalitis and upper respiratory tract infection and some other hemolytic streptococcus have good prognosis. Patients who get secondary systemic disease have bad prognosis.
3. Pathological type. Nephritis with micro pathological changes or mild focal type can be treated. Patients with Membrane Proliferative Glomeruli Nephritis have relatively bad prognosis. If the renal capsule has crescent body, the prognosis is also poor.
4. Kidney function. When the kidney function is damaged severely, the serum creatinine increases and the clearance rate of endogenous creatinine declines; the prognosis is serious. On the contrary, as for patients with normal kidney function or it can get well after a positive treatment even it is damaged, the prognosis is relatively good. If the disease develops into Renal Failure or Uremia stage, the prognosis will be poor.
In addition, the prognosis of Nephritis patients is related with patients’ mental status and diet habit. Patients should also take a timely and correctly treatment.
Patients should comprehensively consider the improvement of prognosis. However, the most important thing is to take an active and proper treatment, thus to repair the damaged renal cells from root and restore the kidney’s primary organizations and structures.
